Founder Story
“I look at the business behind the website first.”
I’m Gavin from Fix First. I help service businesses that are spending money on growth but still have gaps in how they turn interest into customers.

The Background
Why I started Fix First
Over years of watching businesses navigate growth, I kept seeing the exact same pattern: when customer numbers plateau, the default reaction is to pump more money into ads, hire another marketing agency, or try the latest growth hack.
Yet when visitors actually land on the website, they are met with vague messaging, an unclear offer, broken conversion steps, or no obvious reason to trust the business.
More traffic cannot fix a weak offer, a poor customer journey, or broken fundamentals. Pouring more water into a bucket full of holes just wastes the water.
I started Fix First to do the unglamorous, high-impact work that most agencies skip: diagnose the real operational and conversion bottleneck first, fix the customer journey so it actually converts, and build the right solution without unnecessary bloat.
How I Think
Three non-negotiable rules
Diagnose before prescribing
Every project begins with a 1-hour Fix First Deep Dive. I examine operational bottlenecks, the offer, and the customer journey before touching a line of code or copy.
No hype, no vanity metrics
Fancy animations and vanity pageviews don't pay payroll. I focus strictly on clarity, trust, and turning visitor interest into qualified enquiries.
Direct founder accountability
You deal directly with me from day one. Active clients receive concise Friday updates every week detailing what was completed, what's next, and what's needed.
Personal Pledge
“I believe the real problem should be fixed before more money, traffic or technology is added. I take on work where I can identify a practical problem, solve it clearly and deliver what I promised.”
— Gavin Sim, Founder
